When someone says "You look tired" they are usually commenting on your eyes. Sometimes even after a full eight hours of sleep your eyes will look red and puffy. Here are a couple ways you can eliminate or help with the "Tired Eyes".
I know a lot of people prefer a hot shower in the morning, but a cool shower will stimulate the circulation in your body and will help reduce redness. If you absolutely cannot do a cool shower, after you shower wash just your face with cool water. Also using a peppermint cleanser will leave your skin feeling cool and alert.
If washing your face with cool water doesn't do the trick, a cold compress or a bag of frozen peas will do the job. The cold temperature will shrink the capillaries, reducing redness and puffy eyes.
A couple drops of Visine before applying your make up will take care of the redness and dryness in the eyes.
Another trick is applying a sparkly shimmer eye shadow in the hollow inner corner of the eyes. This will brighten and open up the eyes and will instantly make you look refreshed. Use a golden color if you have dark complexion, or a silvery or pearlrescent shade if you're pale.
Once you've done everything you can to the skin around the eyes, pull out your favorite eyeliner and line your water line. This is the inner rim of your lower lids. If you're not in the mood for dark makeup, get a nude eye liner. This will cover the redness and brighten the eyes.
And sometimes none of this works because your problem is allergies. In this case take some over the counter allergy medicine, I've read Claritin works best.
