Newspaper Print Nails

This is a really cool, fun and easy way to spunk up your nails. I will show you step by step how I did this look.


These are the things you will need. 
1.Newspaper
2.Scissors 
3.Hand Sanitizer
4.Base Coat
5.Top Coat
6.Nude Nail Polish 
7.Papertowel 

Begin by polishing your nails with a base coat. 

Choose a nude color, & polish two coats. I used "Nude" by Forever 21.

Let your nails dry completely. While they are drying cut out ten pieces of random parts of newspaper a little bigger than the size of your nail. I saw some really cool prints of different oriental letters and thought they would give it a little twist. You could get creative and choose numbers also to change it up a bit. And of course, regular english prints.

Put a pump of hand sanitizer on the paper towel.

Once your nails are completely dry. Dip your nail in the hand sanitizer and let it sit for about ten seconds. 

You only need a small layer of sanitizer on the nail to wet the newspaper when you lay it on your nail. 

Then place the piece of newspaper with the print you want to stay on the nail facing the nail and hold it still for about 20 seconds. 

Keep your hands still, any movement will smudge the print. 

This is what it will look like. 

Follow these steps on the rest of your nails. Let it dry for a couple minutes. Then polish your nails with top coat.

Recycled-Vintage Cropped Tank

I'm currently obsessing over several fashion trends, one being the cropped t-shirts. I've had this Beatles t-shirt I got on sale a couple years ago that I like a lot but always felt it was a bit boring. So along with many projects I have found for myself this was one of them. I transformed my boring t-shirt into a vintage cropped/tank top. This is what it looked like when I purchased it.

Yawn.

And this is now. 

Just to give you the look I was going for. I styled it with some rosaries, plastic, wood, and silver combined. And lots of different bangles. I cut the collar off, did a low neck line. Cut an exaggerated amount out as the arm holes, lower than where my bra straps sit. And cut the bottom at an angle, the front is a lot shorter than the back. So it has a bit of a train. 

 Now all i need is a helmet and a Harley and I'm a certified bad ass. Haha

This and that

After a trip to Walmart and my sisters house I now have a couple things to add to my growing make up collection. I have a love/hate relationship with the impulse items that are placed in the check-out isles at most stores. Waiting in a long line to pay for groceries, I picked up these two things.

MAYBELLINE-Blackest Black Great Lash Mascara

I currently use this mascara in "Very Black". I love it, but figured I would try this instead. I was running out of mascara anyway, perfect chance to try something new. 


I should go see my sister more often, because every time I go to visit I leave with some goodies. She recently received some Mary Kay eyeshadows (which im addicted to) and ended up getting double colors which she gave to me. Lucky me! I am her baby sister after all :) These colors are so pretty & shimmery.

Falsies

I don't normally wear false lashes because to be honest I have a really hard time putting them on right. I really like the way they look, so I figured if I want to start using them more often I have to train myself on applying them. Today I gave them a try, it took a lot of work but I got them on.

Easter Pastels

I recently saw some Easter nail art I wanted to try out but I realized I was lacking a couple colors. So I stopped at Walmart and got a couple pastel nail colors I wanted to share, they are so soft and cute!

Frosting & sprinkles

It's so hot out, it makes me want a vanilla icecream cone with lots and lost of sprinkles. This craving inspired my nail art.. Melting vanilla frost with  sprinkles.

DIY hairbow

I got this crazy idea that since I love hair pieces I could grab whatever extra fabric I have lying around that I liked and I would try to make a hair bow out of it.
I got my curtains from Ikea over a year ago, they were very long so I had to cut them to fit my windows. I had some extra fabric that I refused to throw away cause I loved the print on them. I usually use it as a backdrop when posting pictures on here. Any who, I decided to make my little girl a hair bow out of it.
This is the first time I try it and it looks adorable. Now I'm running around looking for things to cut up and makes bows out of it. Yikes!

Waxing

My waxing sessions will now begin! I try to take a break from waxing during the winter because well, it's painful, exhausting and not very necessary. I have a wax pot and I wax my own legs, underarms and bikini. I prefer using honey wax, I think hard wax is a bit rough and even though it's faster it's also a lot more painful in my opinion. 


I love the convenience of it, I wax every three to four weeks and after a couple sessions my hair grows in less and thinner. No razor burns, cuts, and don't have to pay the ridiculous price for a good razor. 


Exfoliating should be a normal routine to avoid in-grown hair. 


Couple tips for waxing at home:
-Use baby powder on skin before applying the wax to have minimal wax sticking to skin
-Test the temperature of the wax on the inside of your wrist before applying it to your skin. Especially if the wax is being used on your face.
-Apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth. Pull strip/wax against the direction of the hair growth.
-Use baby oil to clean any wax that is left on the skin and a cooling gel to sooth the skin.

Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Nail Art

Lately I've been obsessing over nail art, I have my phases. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SAKURA! Cherry blossoms are just so pretty and delicate, I have dreams of traveling to Japan one day and seeing these trees in person. I decided to try out some cherry blossom nail art, and Im confident saying I did a good job. This is the beautiful inspiration.
